Jasper Carrott presents half an hour of stand-up (or rather, sit-down) comedy, interspersed with sketches from Punt and Dennis, comedy sketch serial The Detectives, and Wiggy's guide to life - plus the adverts.

Canned Dreams shows the multi-branching network of the modern food industry. The Finnish consumer buys a can in the grocery store, but where from far away do the raw materials and packaging materials for the preserves come from - and through how many hands? The film not only traces the various stages of the production process, but gives a voice to the people who work as part of it.

An advertising firm, desperate to keep an account from a financially-ailing brewery, concocts a macho ad campaign centering on three losers who inadvertently prevent a robbery at a bar.

Scrappy and Oopie, though little boys, happily celebrate the return of beer after fourteen years, with the help of brew-guzzling gnomes, apparently from the "Rip Van Winkle" story. They leave an allegorical "Prohibition" figure (ugly old man in stovepipe hat) stripped and chased off.

However, beautiful Inés arrives with car trouble and awakens distress in the lonely mechanic. As a result of unfortunate events, everybody from a angry postman to a husband who lost his trailer participates in a a wild chase takes us across the county. The film portraits a sleepy world that has a language which resembles an odd mix of southern European languages. Runaway Beer is a short comical story about loneliness, happiness and beer.

Two con artists, Samejima (Yuki Tamaki) and Oshikiri (Osamu Soma), have secured a promise from Harue (Sanae Kaneko), the wife of a wealthy family, to buy her money. However, when they visit Harue, they find that a wake is being held. Harue Taki's property will be inherited by the last person remaining at the wake. When Tsuji (Yoshinori Ito), the executor's lawyer, read out the will, a deceptive game of deceit began among the four, including the grandchild, Sahi (Miru Nagase)!
